Sixteenth Annual Summer ArtFest - July 20-21, 2013 Who we're looking for: Visual fine artists and fine crafters in all media.
Also: Musicians, dancers, theatrical performers, mimes, jongleurs, acrobats, cultural historians, and storytellers for our performing arts stage. What:The Sixteenth Annual Hale'iwa Arts Festival Summer ArtFest, a festival of the visual, performance and cultural arts. When: Summer Event dates: July 20-21, 2013 Where: Hale'iwa Beach Park in Historic Hale'iwa Town, on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. You may also obtain information by calling Hale'iwa Arts Festival (808) 637-2277, or email us at [email protected] Talented artists from Hawaii, the mainland and foreign countries may apply. A limited selection of juried visual artists and crafters will be accepted to display and sell their artwork and exhibit their artistic styles and techniques during this two-day fine arts festival. Attendance to this event by residents and visitors is expected to be over 12,000. Other artists participating in the festival will include musicians, opera and theatrical performers, dancers, storytellers, and cultural historians leading tours. This annual Summer ArtFest will also offer hands-on art activities for children, displays of student art and art demonstrations in several mediums. Original works of fine arts and crafts in all mediums, including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, painting, digital art, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood and mixed media, are given the highest priority. See guidelines for complete description of acceptable art that will receive consideration by our jurors. Only artists displaying their own works are eligible to participate. This summer arts event is organized by the Hale'iwa Arts Festival Non-Profit Organization to promote education and public awareness of arts and culture, with emphasis on participation, for the betterment of our community. There is a non-refundable application fee of $50.00 for each visual artist. All applications must be postmarked by Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Artists accepted will be notified by March 8, 2013.
